【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverswildcatsasusedinwindlassestohaulinandpayoutanchorchainonboardships.Anassociatedchainstopperisusedtosecurethechainwhiletheshipisanchored,ortheanchorishoused.WildcatsareofthefivewhelptypeforusewithstudlinkanchorchainconformingtotheAmericanBureauofShippingGrades1,2,and3.Wildcatdimensionsareprovidedforchainsinintegral1/8-in.(3-mm)steps,ranginginsizefrom3/4to41/8in.(19to104mm).Wildcatdimensionsforchainsinintermediate1/16-in.(1.5-mm)stepsarenotprovided,butwildcatsinthesesizesarepermittedwithinthescopeofthisspecification.Wildcatsareconfiguredtopassdetachablelinksorientedparallelorperpendiculartothewildcatshaftcenterline.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisspecificationisforusewithanchorchainthatismeasuredininch-poundunits.
