【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,dimensionsandtolerances,pipestiffness,crushresistance,impactresistance,hydrostaticburstresistance,andsolventcementforpoly(vinylchloride)plasticdrain,waste,andventpipeandfittings.Aformofmarkingisalsoincluded.PlasticwhichdoesnotmeetthematerialrequirementsspecifiedinSection5isexcluded.InstallationproceduresaregivenintheAppendix.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Themetricequivalentsofinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesmaybeapproximate.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
